I think we are going this Sunday.  Both of the kids have read all the books.  We are just trying to avoid the crush of people - and we will see it in 2D.

I went on the Friday midnight showing.  I haven't been to a midnight movie in 10 years or so, whenever the first Harry Potter film was released.

I must say the crowd was wonderfully electric.  Mostly college age types, but a few that were older, although I didn't see many children my kids ages (8 and 11)

The movie was good...quite nice in many parts.  Some things didn't work so well but overall it was great fun.  Sometimes the crowd laughed at points where I do not think it was intended....

Rico

Loved seeing the movie today with Lynn.  Hard to believe it's the last film.  Hope to talk about it some on the Skype chat tomorrow.

Went and saw Harry Potter. It was really great. I thought that they did well by the book. It was very touching.

Here's me at the movie after. The sun was in my eyes so it's a bad shot and I'm not all that photogenic. Had to wear my Snape shirt.

Hope everyone who has seen it or who sees it loves it too!

Saw this with a bunch of buddies last night.. LOVED it.. thought it was a fitting end to the Movies.

The theater we saw it in had this wall of all of the Harry Potter posters.. it was pretty amazing.

You could read my thought on the movie here. http://geekyfanboy.blogspot.com/2011/07/harry-potter-and-deathly-hallows-part-2.html

Cool photos ( zarabeth very photogenic by the way and cooool t-shirt, Kenny looking the business as usual sir)

We're now going to see it when it comes to our local independent cinema ( I don't mind waiting to support the place) :)

Rico

Great pics - love the poster wall.  They had all seven posters up in our theater lobby too.  Cool stuff.  Here's a bad cell phone pic of a big cardboard display in our theater for the movie.

My wife and I went to see it this afternoon and really enjoyed it. I thought it was a fitting end although at times a little confusing (guess I need to read the books). Certainly visually enjoyable except at times it seemed to be filmed so dark that many details were lost and there were also times when dialogue could not be clearly discerned. I hope they release the Blu-Ray before Christmas. I'd like to rewatch all of them in the period of a week just to see how much continuity there is.

Definitely read the books sometime Kevin.  Much richer and filled with lots of great detail that even two films for one book can't quite cover fully.

Just saw this with the family.  We went with another family, and they bought the 3D tickets..

I loved the movie - but don't think 3D added much.  Loved how they handled Snape.

Glad you enjoyed it.  I want to go back and see it again already!

I enjoyed it as well. Some things were changed, but I think they worked well. The emotional scenes in the book did a fairly well job of translating to the movie, although there was one scene that wasn't quite as emotional as it reads in the book that could have used a little more attention in the movie. Overall, I'm quite pleased with what they've done with the story. Now, if only they could have translated Eragon that well into a movie! :)
