Hello fellow members!

Well, my nook arrived a little after 1:00 this afternoon. I wanted to get a picture of the UPS guy delivering the box but man he was quick!   :D  Anyway, my wife took pictures of the unboxing and so thus here they are with captions below!

The Box!

Me happy to see my nook FINALLY arrive!

Carefully using my razorknife to open the box.

Everything looks good!

Even Gandalf is curious to see if all is well.

Ahh...Here is the treasure I have long waited for!

Nice!! Now to get it out of this beautiful packaging!

How in the world do you open this thing???

I think I figured it out!!

Well, not quite yet!

Ah ha! Liberated at last!

The components displayed with Gandalf looking disgusted!

Gandalf thinks he has a new plaything! The box and stuffings!!  :biggrin

There she is...the new toy! How I love my nook!

See how happy I am with my nook in hand! Wait a minute that sounds bad! Ummmm I really like this reading device! THANK YOU MRS. KTREK!!!

Gandalf is wondering..."is THAT all there is??"

Cheers! :cheers

And MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Kevin

I'm actually reading a few of things. Conan Doyles Hound of the Baskervilles, Modern Religious Cults and Movements by Gaius Atkins and Star Trek Voyager - The Nanotech Wars. I always have at least three books going at any given time and sometimes four or five. Another convenience of the nook is that all my current reading can accompany me anywhere now!

Looks like a great device, thanks for the pictures. It arrived at a very appropriate time as well :)

I'm impressed it was delivered on 25th! You wouldn't get that over here.

Good pictures and entertaining captions, thanks for putting them up. (Although the thread title had certain risqué implications when I first glanced at it)

It looks very well packed and presented. I hope the user experience matches up to that good start. It's a little smaller than I imagined but portability is key in devices like this so I guess it's a good thing.

Enjoy your reading and remind Mrs Ktrek what a kind and generous woman she is for not only tolerating but actually feeding your geeky pleasures!

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Rico

He got it on the 24th.  See the date on the first post.

Feathers

His first post is dated 25th in this time zone :)

Mind you, it also says 3:12am so I should have realised a bit of conversion was required.

Yes.  He is five hours earlier than you I think.  Plus Kevin states it arrived at 1pm that afternoon.  There is never mail delivery here on Christmas.  At least via most services.
