New Homepage - ENGAGED

Well folks, decided to release the new homepage tonight. Hope you like it. I'm sure I'll be tweaking it for the next few weeks. Let me know if anything isn't working right for you or any general comments you have. Enjoy! :biggrin

New website is awesome.....I did not see the "preview" so imagine my surprise when I opened it this morning.....My first thought was ...."Did I hit the right link in my Favorites folder?"...My second thought was "SWEET!"

Rico, I must say.... the new look is AWESOME! The old look was like, wow this site looks interesting, great stuff here, but not extremely catchy, this design, however, screams: THIS IS THE TREKSF HOMEPAGE!! HAIL THE GLORIOUS TREKSINSCIFI!!! O and just one suggestion (think I mentioned this already) but the lcars pictures at the top and bottom don't fit in with the background colour very welll. Just a thought that you might want to do something about that

Thanks! Been spending some time working on the site. Not sure what you mean Risky about the "LCARS Pictures" at the top and bottom? If you mean the colored graphics, that's part of the design template and I like it (one of the reasons I used it). Or do you mean something else?

Good job rico. One suggestion is using my flash animation for the banner. I made with the same dimensions as the original banner. If you need code help let me kno.

Hey Rico, I am sensing some confusion with the joomla banner controls. I have figured out how to stick the flash banner up on ur site.

If you can shoot me some detailed instructions on an email I'll try it spock. But I'll tell you, I've tried many ways and haven't had much luck getting a Flash Banner up there. Are you using a Module in Joomla to do it? Shoot me an email about it - and the new larger banner file to: treksf@gmail.com

OK, sorry I can't be very clear on this, it's hard to type it, but the shade of black for the LCARS picture and the shade of black for the background are different, making the Lcars banner look like a pic, raher than an LCARS thing.

Yeah, that's kind of true but very subtle. And it's in the template itself so it would be tricky to change that.
