I stated every forum needs some xkcd, so today I'm about to remedy that flaw.

There is a xkcd for every topic, but I've chosen this particular strip because Mr Require Way (aka Rick Moyer) mentioned "Mine goes to 11" recently. :)
Hope you like it as much as I do!

OK, I'm an engineer but not a smart one. I was nodding sagely at the third frame but didn't make the mental leap to the fourth frame content before I read it.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Why go to twelve?  That's just silly.  Everyone knows that 10 is the loudest and 11 is just above the loudest.  Going over 11 makes it lose all it's meaning.

But it's one louder than 11! :D
I'm not so sure "everyone knows" includes this guy (they talk about the amp at 1:30):

Yeah, but it's been scientifically proven that there is no one louder than 11.  Purely theoretical.  11 is the loudest sound that can be heard by any living thing.  In fact, the big bang registered as an 11.
