Is anybody else up in Canada watching Being Erica?  Its a show done by CBC and set in Toronto.  The production value is pretty good on this one.  My wife and I have been watching since the premier and right now its in season 2.  It airs Tuesday nights at 9pm on CBC eastern time.

It's basically about a 32 year old woman named Erica that has a really messed up life.  Nothing is going her way until she meets Dr Tom.  He is this "psychologist" that can send you back in time to redo certain regrets that you have.  Each week we see about half the episode in real time and half in her past or future.

For some of the episodes they use real world events.  For instance in the first season they had a show where she went back to 2003 I think, when we had  that huge power outage on the eastern seaboard.  The writing is great and they pay attention to the details.

Also nice to hear and see the odd Sci Fi reference thrown in here and there(Back to the Future, and Star Trek).  Last nights show had a model of the Enterprise D in it.

Not sure if you guys can get this outside Canada yet?  I know its on Itunes and Season 1 is on DVD.

The show is not for everyone, it does have a fair bit of the sappy love stuff but overall its worth watching.
