Yeah, he doesn't look like a baby face to me either.  And I think Chris has the acting chops to pull it off.

Given the WIDE diversity of who they have picked to fill the role, I can accept the choice. The character's main life in the book takes place from late 20's / early 30's to his late 40's early 50's. It could be said that Ford was too old when he took the role and Pine would be a great fit if they start from the beginning. Also with Sam Rami at the helm, I'm more than willing to let things play out and see how it works.

He proved the nay sayer wrong when he pulled off Kirk ... I'm thinking history will repeat and people will start to tire of being wrong. If he takes the role.

You know who could be a good Jack Ryan is Jeffrey Donovan from "Burn Notice."  But I'm willing to see what Chris can do in the part.

I could see Jeffrey Donovan in the role. At least he has the looks and sophistication to play the part. Not baby face Pine though.

I think he's too old for the role if and I totally disagree with the look and sophistication part.

Don't get me wrong, I like Donovan, but I haven't seen him in a role where he wasn't slightly or totally off and that's not Jack Ryan.
