Keep in mind these "low" prices are all for people without current contracts with AT&T for their phone service.  Anyone who already has an older model Iphone, or like me a crappy cheap phone with AT&T, will be paying at the lowest end $499 for the new Iphone 3gs (8gb), or a mind bogglingly expensive $699 for the 32gb model.  All prices include another two year mandatory contract agreement.  Um, no thanks, I'll stick with my Ipod touch.

Not sure what UK prices are for 'upgrades' but I'm told existing iPhone users will need to buy out their current contract if they want a new model. None of the cheap upgrades we got last time. Just as well I'm happy with the 3G - there's no real option to change.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I'm waiting until they come inside a box of Cracker Jacks!

I'm not really tempted by the new hardware. A battery life and speed improvement would be 'nice' but I'm not rating it any more important than that.

I still want the 3.0 software though (8 days!). With that, the iPhone pretty much becomes what I'd always wanted it to be. It's even a good phone...you know, for talking to people on!

Get one Dan!

Yes I may now as there may be some good 'deals' with the older model.

With the arrival of the 3GS, it looks like carphone warehouse are giving the 16GB 3G away free with any contract now. I had to pay a lot more than that for mine.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

What? - A new Apple PDA? Woohooo! it's about time...
"Munster predicts that the Mac OS X-based Apple tablet will feature a 7in - 10in touchscreen that's optimised for multi-touch, describing the device as a "sort of hybrid between the iPhone and the Mac".

Long ago in the '90s even before the Palm Pilot was the Newton.
Even in it's mono color day - it was awesome, until Steve Jobs killed it :(

This may prove it was just ahead of it's time :)
