Yes, I have GarageBand on my MacBook, but have no clue how to use it. It's not just for music? Well, that's interesting. Guess I should check that aspect out once I find some instructions. Thanks.

Just try, it's not that complicated!

Start the program and pick "new podcast episode".
Click a voice track, record your voice with red button and then listen to it.
Use the lower window to cut, just mark the piece you want to delet and press delete or drag to the waste bin. Put the pieces together in upper window, just drag them around.

There is somthing like "make avilable" in the bar ot the top, and there is an option to export it as mp3.

I just noticed there seem to be slight differences depending on the version of garage band, I just checked an older one and the expoert function I usually use doesn't offer the mp3 format. (Also I have the german version, my translation might not be the exact wording.)
