I enjoyed the episode Darmok. Well done. I don't think I'll be watching this movie anytime soon...it doesn't sound like something I'd enjoy, but I appreciated your take on it and enjoyed Vartok's commentary on the composer. Great job to both of you. :)

When you posted last night, I was very, very curious about your reaction. Would it appeal to a Lady Geek? My suspicions are now confirmed — it's guy thang! :)

Thanks for listening.

Listened to a couple of Anomaly podcasts recently. I went to your website to find episodes and found only two. Eventually, I found the recent ones at Podcast Alley. The next one i want to check out is the "Galaxy Quest" episode. The RPG enactments are coming along nicely.

I still may watch it, just to see what you guys like about it. You did a great job...it sounds like you've done radio or podcasting  before.

Thank you. You should record some RPG posts for us.   ;)

As far as Anomaly goes...If you subscribe via iTunes you can listen to them all.  Podcast Alley has a player you can listen to our episodes through. Otherwise you can click on the RSS feed on our site and listen to streaming episodes without subscribing...but we hope people subscribe. :)

Again, great job.

First time podcasting. Did radio in high school. Did more acting and standup back in the day. Have been doing more singing than anything else. Slowly moving toward voiceover work.

That'd be cool. It would have to be sporadic. Otherwise, you'll be calling me "Flakey".

Me can do that. :)

Vartok's segment was perfect, I can't thank him enough. It really, really rounded out the show.

A quirky composer. A quirky movie. Perfect.

Hey Darmok I just wanted to pass on my compliments on your first podcast! You did a great job and as others have said you have a great recording voice.

I have never seen the movie but the podcast has peaked my interest. I'll have to check it out.

Hope you volunteer to do another guest spot soon!

The Galaxy Quest episode is definitely my favorite. It's also the very first Anamoly podcast I ever listened to, so it holds a special place in my heart :wub.

I just wanted to chime in and say Great Job Darmok!! I saw Buckaroo Bonzai for the very first time around a year ago. I thought it was very silly, which was one of the reasons I loved it. It's one of those movies where a lot of the actors are deadpan and it seems like they're taking it seriously, but you know they really aren't. They're just having fun with it. I can't believe they delivered some of those lines with straight faces.  Definitely a classic.

And yes Jen, if you haven't yet, you should check it out.

Definitely enjoyed the "Galaxy Quest" episode. Listened to the "BSG" episode yesterday. Some good points were brought up. I have a friend with whom I discuss this stuff, but he's been so busy that we didn't get a chance to. At least it was nice to listen to someone else hash it out. I'll have to watch it again and find someone to discuss it with. :)

Thanks for listening to the "Banzaicast". I agree, what makes that movie is the Jack Webb/Leslie Neilsen deadpan approach. I love silly when it's done right. By nature, I'm a silly person, so it works out. It's also a delight to see so many recognizable actors in that film. When I first saw the film in the theater, I was disappointed that the Rawhide character (Clancy Brown) died off. He seemed like a cool character. That was the first time I'd seen him. Then, "Earth 2" came out and he was back. Now, he's all over the place; Lex Luthor in the "Superman" cartoons, Mr. Krabs in "Spongebob Squarepants" and then "Enterprise". Jeff Goldblum's delivery I think was the most amazing in parts ("Discusson...what discussion?").

That movie is like an onion — so many layers of things going on. I think it might just be a "guy movie", though.
