I'm sorry Rico, but my Video Camera driver got corrupter or some stupid thing...idk, I'll have to fix it.  The scene itself that I was trying to do was too complicated to do on my own so....yea.

Sorry, but not this time.  :(

Hi Rico. Hi everyone. I had this cool idea for a video but unfortunately I won't have time to do it. I don't have a video camera or even a webcam (or a laptop or ipod  :o). I'm a little behind the times. I've been at Camp Pendleton for some time now and we're heading out to the field once again tomorrow through Sunday morning. So. . .

Rico congratulations on the 200 episode of Treks in Sci-Fi. I hope you do 200 more! Thanks for all the time, energy and effort you put into the podcast. Thanks for making this cool community of sci-fi geeks.

Well, still not as many videos as I would have liked to get but the show must go on! I'll accept any last ditch efforts today if you want to slip me something.

I think the context in which you were asking the videos to be was difficult for some folks. Not all of us enjoy being in front of the camera and then you are asking us to act out a favorite scene. If you gave us the option to recall a favorite scene and talk about why we love it for 2 to 3 minutes you might have gotten more responses.

I applaud those who did do the video and look forward to episode 200.

I understand that Kenny. But we have done your suggestion before back on show 185. I was looking for something different for this time out. And you might be surprised at the uniqueness of some of the videos I have. There are ways around actually being in front of the camera for this idea if you think about it a bit.

P.S.  The video count isn't actually that bad right now. I think just one less than the last vidcast.

Oh I'm creative and had a great idea of acting out scenes with my action figures just never found the time to do it.

Well, I have no nice technology, software or any costumes and props of any kind. Then I thought "well why not make that the whole point of the video". So with that in mind, prepare for vast amounts of cheese, loads of ham and a huge helping of corn. And absolutely no special effects or nice musical SFX. But I just had to do it, all for fun. However, seeing it back is so cringeworthy and It's gonna be even more painful to view once I know you guys have seen it.  :ohwell
You could learn something from Mr Spock Doctor..... Stop thinking with your glands"

Well, last time out proved to me that I just don't have the hardware/processing power for the job. :(

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I thought your last vid message was pretty good Mike, :)

I had the hardest time with this, cause I wanted to do a video, but I could for the life of me come up with a Star Trek clip that I could do. All the good ones I thought of would have require props which I don't have, other actors which I don't have, a relatively Trek like set which I also don't have, and there is always the matter of time.

You didn't need any props.  Just had to know a few lines.

Next time Rico has an assignment like this, let me know if you're stuck and I'll help. I could always send you a video clip of myself doing half the lines if you don't want to play more than one part.
