Havoc naturally emits waves of energy all over his body.  Only through control and a lot of training does he learn to focus that energy.  Eventually he masters being able to shoot it out his hands, but not really early on.

ah you live and learn where the other "young" X men accurate in there powers then. I only remeber seeing Havoc on a cartoon series over here and then briefly.

Finally saw this with Super 8 today.. here's my review from my blog

Again there is no more spoiler tag so don't read if you haven't seen the movie yet.

First let me say I LOVED the original X-Men movie and LOVED X-Men 2 even more. And I even enjoyed X-Men 3, which I know most of my fellow geeks did not. So I'm a huge X-Men fan. Again like Super 8 I had heard a ton of great things about this film so my expectations were high... well I am happy to say that this film lived up and exceeded them. I LOVED this movie. It was well written, well acted and had just the right amount of action and character development. The movie is truly the story of how Magneto became Magneto. There were several scenes that had me in tears. The death of Darwin was horrific. And another thing I loved about this movie is it still lined up with the previous X-Men movies. I loved the two big cameos and seeing the "younger" versions of future X-Men. This is a must buy when it comes out on Blu-ray.

I have been an X-Men fan for years, collected the multiple comic book titles in the 80's and 90's. Loved the movies and I'm so glad they are reinvigorating the franchise with this. I can't wait to see it!

Hopefully this is the start of new series of films.

Why do the writers always choose the black character to die in movies and TV?  Just sayin'

It's funny because it's the immortal black characters that always seem to die.

Yeah, I was hoping to see more of Darwin, he had the most interesting talent of all the First Class.

ElfManDan

Saw the film today and I loved it. Easily my favorite X-Men film.
Loved Charles and Erik's relationship. Also all the other X-Men were great. I just loved seeing them developing and excepting their powers.
I really hope there is a sequel to this cause it definitely deserves continuing from where it began here. And Marvel Studios continues to not disappoint.

I agree, thought the same thing. I was really sad to see him killed so early. I though he was really cool.

One thing I think they could have done a bit more with in this movie is flesh out a few of the other X-Men characters a bit more.  They did a great job with Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, Beast, but the others didn't get much in the way of background and so on.  I know it's a big cast, but it would have been interesting to learn more about a few of them.  Maybe in another film.  It would be great for a young Cyclops to show up and join them and be with his brother (Havok) again.  Be cool to see a young Storm too.

ElfManDan

Yeah I'm certainly hoping for a sequel to continue these characters and new ones from where they left off. I would agree that some of the characters could use a little more development, but I think it worked and you have to think how long would the film had been then and it's really more about Xavier and Magneto in the end.

A question to you that are X-Men comic readers.
In the movie does the Xavier & Mystique relationship follow what was done in the comics? I really liked the movie and that part of it. I just didn't think they knew each other that well.
