Well, I tried my first attempt at firework pictures.   Tell me what you think... they were kind of hard...

This was the first one...

Now on to bigger and better stuff...

One more ground based one...

Ok, now the sky...

This one is my favorite...

They are much better than mine! Good Job!

After my first ten shots with the digital I use I realized how much I hate the delay that happens with digital versus a nice optical camera.

I used a nice tripod and the settings for the camera were as follows...

Manual
ISO 200
Exposure- 2 to 4 seconds
Aperture 14

Then the secret is to use the handy dandy wireless remote control so the camera is still and doesn't shake.

Unfortunately, the great state of Michigan bans any firework that leaves the ground so the only kind I can use are -- BOOOOORRRRING !!!
I must be allowed to release the firebug in me.  Hey, I only set fire to the family room carpet that one time :D

same with Hawaii but if you go on s nice high mountain that you can see everything you should see the illegal fireworks, the rich places have great ones and the hard to get to places lets some go,oh and you can always throw spinners up
