Ok, when I click the "Print Screen" button, how can I find the file of the picture?  (I'm taking a shot of my desktop).

Open any type of paint or image program and go to edit, then paste.  Print screen copies what's on the screen to the Windows clipboard - but it doesn't exactly save the file.  And it won't always capture things like video, games, etc.  You need to use other type of tools for that.  One tool I really like for screencaps is called Hypersnap.  Google and you will find it.

Games typically save it as a file within their own directory.

Thanks!

That's not what you asked about.  Games take over certain functions and if they have built in screen capture settings (like WOW does), it will save a picture usually in the game directory.  Using Print Screen on the keyboard to save shots in just Windows of things like Media Player won't work normally.  Direct X takes over certain functions and if you try to screencap WMP with just Print Screen it will just be a blank screen.  And it also does not save the file anywhere.  You need something more to do that - like I suggested above.
