CBS renews many shows for fall 2013
« on: March 28, 2013, 07:37:45 AM »
Lots of things coming back...

CBS announced today that it has renewed 18 returning series for the 2013-2014 broadcast season. Renewed shows include "NCIS," "The Big Bang Theory," "Elementary" and "60 Minutes," the top-rated program/drama, comedy, new series and newsmagazine, respectively.

The renewals, comprising 16 hours of its primetime schedule, include four comedies, nine dramas, three reality series and two newsmagazines. The returning shows encompass every night of the week and every hour, many of which rank #1 in their time period and some which rank #1 for the entire night.

The renewed comedies also include the final season of "How I Met Your Mother" as well as "2 Broke Girls" and "Mike & Molly."

Among the other returning dramas are "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "Person of Interest," "Elementary," "Hawaii Five-O," "The Mentalist," "Blue Bloods," and "The Good Wife."

The Network's three Emmy Award-winning reality series - "The Amazing Race," "Survivor," and "Undercover Boss" - also return with new editions.

In addition to "60 MINUTES," "48 Hours," Saturday's #1 non-sports program, will return in the fall.

CBS and Warner Bros. Television are currently in discussions regarding another season for "Two and a Half Men."

I might be halfway through season 2... I couldn't possibly comment. The season 1 finale is about to air over here. Looking forward to seeing that again too.
