You can share any of your books between up to 6 kindle devices. That is any combination of Kindles, PC-based Kindle software or Kindle for iPhone/iPad etc.

That's worth knowing but implies multi-kindle ownership which I'm sure would have a cost implication! ;)

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Well, you can weigh that against some cheaper book pricing.

Actually, it's storage space that's the real issue at the moment. Books take up an incredible amount of space and we want to get rid of at least one set of shelves.

'Kindle's for all' is an idea that might yet fly (I've got the iPhone app but it's under-developed and really doesn't do the job very well)

That's my issue as well. I just don't have the space for another bookshelf. I also have the iPhone app and it's really not ideal.

Well, right now, I'm reading the Treks in Sci Fi message board! :)

I was cleaning my storage space and turned up a book I didn't even know I had- Jim Butcher's Grave Peril, from his Harry Dresden series.  Pretty cool stuff, kind of a grown-up version of Harry Potter crossed with pulpy detective story.

Amy's mom, who is 81, just had me order her a kindle on our account.  Amy is in heaven, LOVING her kindle.

I have been and always will be, your friend.

I've been reading my Kindle some every night before bed.  It's not only easier to read off of than paper, the device is much more comfortable to hold than a book for long periods of time.  And it uses very little power.  I charged mine up on Christmas and I'm still at like 3/4 juice left.  For the price these are now, every person who loves to read should have one.  There are also a TON of free books out there online.  More than I could ever read.  This is quickly becoming one of my favorite gadgets - ever.

I bought my Mom (67 yrs old) a kindle for xmas this year, and after a little bit of initial uneasiness she now loves it.  Her favorite thing about it is the portability factor, much easier than carrying around a hardback.  This thing was made for her.  She still needs me to come over and load books onto it for her though.  I made the mistake of getting her the Wifi only model and she does not have wireless internet in her home.  I am getting her a wireless modem this weekend though so it should make things easier for her.

I'm slowly working my way through Orson Scott Card's "Ender" series.  I was just handed "Ender's Game" for the first time about 2 years ago.  I haven't been reading too much since I'm always trying to catch up on 200+ unheard podcasts, but I've decided to start making the time.  So far, I've read "Ender's Game" (three times now), and "Speaker for the Dead."  Next up in the series in "Xenocide".

I have really been getting into Graphic Novels from DC and Marvel lately. Until a few months back I never realized how many the library has. And if there's one that you want and it's not at the local library you can request it and they get it from one of the librarys in their system. I have done that a few times. I have read 17 so far from the library. Just finished "The Death of Captain America Vol 3" and "Wonder Woman - The Hiketeia". Now reading "Wonder Woman - Love and Murder". I'm trying to read the Wonder Woman series in order which is what i'm going to try and do with The Amazing Spiderman. Also reading Star Trek - The Magazine #25 and "Born to Play - The Eric Davis Story". He played Major League Baseball.

I've actually just had a new book shelf put up as i love having books, i think you all kow i dont support Kindle because i love the beauty of books and also being a writer i'd love to see people holding and sharing my book on public transport. I'm not against modern tech (obviously) but i do hope we dont begin to lose books.

Any way i'm reading the following.
Its only a movie by Mark kermode
Nerd do well by Simon Pegg
Warriors: British Fighting Heroes by Ross Kemp
The Fry Chronicles by Stephen Fry

Finally got "I shall wear Midnight" by Terry Pratchett.

I'm excited to hear what you thought!  I powered through that one.  I like the Tiffany series a lot, but I think I prefer the first set of witches books, to tell you the truth.  Nothing beats Granny setting a voodoo doll on fire by sticking her arm into a torch lamp.  Brilliant.
