The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) have come to a tentative agreement for their next three-year contract.

According to union sources this new contract deal will establishe fees for content streamed and downloaded over the Internet and preserve an actors' rights of consent on the use of their voices and images in online clips.

If ratified by AFTRA members the new contract will begin on June 30 and run through June 2011.

Still holding out is the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the larger actor's union. It's main beef with the AMPTP is the same as the Writers Guild of America's (WGA) — new media compensation. Like AFTRA's contract, the existing SAG contract is set to expire on June 30.
