Creep Cool Robots

This is robot is awesome and at the same time it creeps me out. I guess I've seen too many Science Fiction movies/television shows where robots attack.  :dry

That is freaking COOL!  It's amazing how lifelike its movement and sense of balance are.  When it recovered from the slip on the patch of ice, it reminded me of a deer or young horse.

It is weird, when I watched the Video I felt bad for that Robot, even though I knew it was just a Robot, and they were putting it through all those different tests to see how it handles different environments.

looks like it can carry nearly twice it's weight.
I thought motorized wheel barrows where neat, guess we'll see these on construction sites next.

That is really cool.  I agree with Jeff, it was hard for me to not feel bad for it.  hehe.

Dave was reading a blog site and came across the youtube link. There're two videos of the same robot on youtube. I think one of the descriptions says it was created for the Department of Defense.

That is a much longer video than what I had seen on one my downloaded podcasts, that scene where the guy kicks it always ticks me off...

What I had heard previously is that it will carry ammo and supplies for troops, and could even be used as an emergency litter for wounded soldiers.
