Good to hear!

EDIT: Ah, Felicia just tweeted about it, iTunes MP3 uploads delayed until tomorrow.

The Guild Music Video is the #1 Music Videos on Itunes.. (US & Canada) I think it's like #3 in the UK.

Looking for audio or written comments for our microcast tonight.. if you guys could send your thought on the music video to knightsoftheguild@gmail.com that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Awesome, here's a comment Joss Whedon posted on his blog:

QuoteOkay, usually I stay above such matters. But this video must be number one!!! Who is this Taylor Swift? Some evil robot, PROBABLY. (Although an evil robot vid would also potentially be cool.) (But fine! She can be number two!) The point is, I love this video to distraction (and inevitable procrastination). It has Felicia -- and money! Felicia LYING IN money! Combo-ed! Plus Vork, turkey legs, and the Solid Guild dancers! I care!

And I'm hobbled here, peeps. I don't twitter (I occasionally Glitter and Be Gay, but that's it), can't digg, or favorite, or friend... In fact I don't understand why my typewriter has a TV on it. I'M NOT SAVVY. But I really want this to be big. It's indie (which is the most important part), it's awesome, and it's made by people that I friended in the old-fashioned way of being friends with them. (Okay, technically, I brothered Jed before I friended him, but he's still super-talented.) So help me out. Let's go the extra mile here and DESTROY THE SWIFTBOT! Then I can get back to the business of making Dollhouse stranger.

Digg deep, people.

Smoochez! -joss.

An absolutely awesome music video (and song as well). I can't count how many times I've watched it this afternoon.

Kenny - did you say season three was going to be coming out in hi-def?  I was wondering if they might be talking a Blu-Ray disc for season three (that might include the music video too).  Just wondering if you have heard anything?

They have talked about Blu-Ray since we shot Season 2 and 3 in HD.. but that's as far as it's gone.. It costs alot of money to just created SD DVD's so I am sure it costs a lot more to make Blu-Ray. But I do know they are thinking about it.

Rico

Might cost more, but I think the profit ratio is higher on Blu-Ray than DVD.  Which would equal more latinum!  ;)
Normally those costs are picked up by the production company - whoever is producing the DVD or Blu-Ray.  I would think having such a hit video would give them an idea of the current appeal.  Strike when you are hot!

- Still trying to find a way to purchase a hi-def version of the video.

Yeah but though The Guild is a hit (on the net) it's still a mom and pops production. They are not making money on this show yet. Kim (the producer) is still producing the DVD's herself.

As for the HD version of the video I'm going to see if I can get it directly from Felicia :) I'll let you know if I succeed.

Thanks Kenny.  Tell Felicia I'll Paypal her direct - if she wants!  :)

P.S.  Didn't the MSN deal help?  I sure hope they are paying them - a lot!

The MSN deal allowed them to actually pay the crew (bare minimum) and get locations. It costs alot of money to make these shows. I know for a fact that Kim and Felicia barely see any of that money. That is why Felicia does commercials. She has told me that the Sears commercial that she had done paid for the first half of season two before they got the MSN deal. Webseries is not a profitable venture.

Rico

I guess I'm just surprised she decided to go exclusive with MSN then.  And didn't that happen before season two?  I thought season two started as an MSN exclusive?

Nope.. the deal was in the works.. but we couldn't wait so we started without the funding. She put it on her credit card.

And the reason she went with MSN.. is they only wanted to air the episode exclusively for a month then we could do whatever we wanted with them.. that's it. They didn't want a piece of the profits, (DVD sales) they didn't want any control over production. Being in the industry I can say that, that is very rare.. She was approached by so many "big" companies who wanted a piece of The Guild and would have paid very well. But it's Felicia's baby and she didn't want to give up her rights.
