Yeah - I had heard that. Well of course I've loved what she has done with this since I saw the first episode of season one. It just shows what a great community and success can be built up without big name backing. I wish them even bigger success. Now, just to get that elusive full HD video! ;)

I double supported it. Downloaded in HD on XBOX (I hear that they use the DL count as a marker on how successful the show is for them) then bought the ipod version.

Nope.. the deal was in the works.. but we couldn't wait so we started without the funding. She put it on her credit card.

And the reason she went with MSN.. is they only wanted to air the episode exclusively for a month then we could do whatever we wanted with them.. that's it. They didn't want a piece of the profits, (DVD sales) they didn't want any control over production. Being in the industry I can say that, that is very rare.. She was approached by so many "big" companies who wanted a piece of The Guild and would have paid very well. But it's Felicia's baby and she didn't want to give up her rights.

I've said it before and i'll say it again you have to love Felicia Day, not only a great writer, actress but you can tell she has such pride in this series. Thanks for introducing us to it Kenny. I love the video and, may i say she does look hot in her avatar outfit lol.

Oh Kenny, photo ahem, photo its been six months now. ;)

I'm buying it on itunes. :)

Actually we have Rico to thank for introducing me to The Guild.. first saw it here on the forum. Never thought I'd be where I am now with it.. changed my life a bit.

Glad you were able to join them and help them out Kenny. Since I'm a fairly big gamer I got hooked by this series pretty fast. Really hit home - especially since Felicia knows gaming too.

Frankly seeing this really makes me happy. It makes me believe that people like us (as fans and content creators, be it The Guild or people's various podcasts and other projects) really and truly are on the right track.

This is the future of entertainment. it may not pay off tomorrow, but I am certain it will in the long run.

Kenny, it is still my belief that getting involved with The Guild was most likely one of the smartest career moves you could have made. I know that was not your motivation for doing so, but I know that good things will come of it.

It is a great time to be a geek. From this vantage point, suffering though high school as a "loser" was completely worth it.
