The Phantom of the Opera (2004)

I know that we mostly discuss sci-fi films on this board but I was wondering if any of you have seen this film? I recently watched it again for about the 6th time. I saw it twice in the theater and then bought the DVD. Everytime I watch this film it never fails to draw me in. I love the story, the music is wonderful and the casting is really good. The directing is amazing and the gothic sets created for the film are beautiful. It has to be one of the best musicals ever written. It may not be the very best musical on film ever made but it certainly is up there in my top ten list. This film reaches you on so many levels. I'm not one who easily cries during films of any kind but I get pretty teary eyed every single time I watch this film even knowing how it ends. If you have not had a good romantic night, with your wife or girfriend in a while, I heartily recommend you rent this wonderful film and spend an evening alone together. Trust me she will love you for it and you will come away knowing you have seen something of value. Only a hard heart could walk away from this film not feeling anything. Trust me on this one!
