For those without Showtime, you can add it via most cable and dish networks now for only $ 7.99 per month.  Cool deal!

Yes, Dex is back!  And I much prefer John Lithgow psychotic over goofy.  Everyone remembers him from 3rd Rock, how many remember Blow Out or Raising Cain?  Dexter just better be careful what he says to that baby, you never know who's listening on the other end of that baby monitor.

Good start to season four.  Loved how they played with the main theme credits during the show, showing how things are different for Dex now.  I like how just about everyone is back - and some we haven't seen in awhile like Carradine's character.  Looks to be a great season to come.

Good second episode for this new season.  Dexter is such a fun character and things are starting to heat up and the characters are all interesting.  Can't wait to see where it all goes.  And dang - John Lithgow is on creepy dude in the short scenes he is in.

Yes this show is incredibly good at manipulating the viewers emotions.  I don't know if it's the writing or acting or a combination of everything, but they really do a great job of putting you inside Dexters mind and it is an extremely creepy place to be.  The actress who plays Dexter's sister (apparently Michael C Hall's real life wife) kind of gets on my nerves but other than her the supporting cast is spot on.  They have had great guest spots in every season, especially last year from Jimmy Smits and now John Lithgow is just fantastic.

I think Michael C. Hall is just dead on perfect as Dexter.  He just does such a good job acting as the character with such little touches in his voice, mannerisms, certain looks, and so on.  I enjoy the rest of the cast too - even Deb.  Anyway, just an excellent show with a great cast.

Good season so far and I really enjoyed this most recent episode.  Quite a bit happened...
Big shocker at the end of the episode.  But, not totally unexpected.  I don't like how Showtime shows clips for the next episode, it spoils the suspense and I have started to not watch them.  Anyway, the show is as good as ever.
Awesome episode!
You'd think that Carradine's character would have been a bit more concerned about his cover being blown when he saw his picture all over the front page of the newspaper.  At least taken some kind of precaution maybe?
My thoughts....
I'm not exactly sure right now that the shooting was related to the Trinity killer.  It looked kind of like two people attacked them.  Maybe just a robbery?  I'm not sure right now.  But, this is definitely going to pull Dexter into the case.  Look out Lithgow!
I agree,
There was definitely something unexplained going on with the shooting as they did not show at all who the killer was.  But I would be pretty surprised if it was unrelated to Trinity.  It would make sense that Lithgow could have a problem functioning as a killer outside of the pattern he has established for so many years, but perhaps he arranged the shooting some other way?
I love this show!

Still watching and enjoying this season of Dex.  Lots of interesting things going on so far.  I think there are like four episodes left.  Anyone else keeping up?

ChadH and I are about a week behind, but we look forward to it every weekend.  I'm nervous about how the season will end.

One thing I/we have noticed is that the writers are having Dex make some pretty stupid moves/decisions.  It seems that in previous seasons they highlighted his patience and intelligence, but this season he seems to make some bad decisions hastily.  I *suppose* one could blame that on the kid/family/home/no-sleep situation, but that's not evident in the story.  It just comes through as poor writing, in my opinion.

Still, one of my top fave shows.

I think it makes a lot of sense for Dexter to make some of the decisions and come off as not so collected and perfect.  He has been on his own for a long time and now he has to juggle a lot more.  I think they are trying to show the impact the family life is having on someone like Dexter.  And he now is trying to find a "new way" of dealing with all of it.  The pacing is a bit slower maybe this season, but I'm enjoying it a lot still.

KatzeKitty and I watched the Dexter "thanksgiving Special" last night. Wow, big surprise at the end! Did NOT see that coming. We both turned to each other and  :jawdrop.
I really like this show.

Thanksgiving special???  Do you just mean last week's episode?
