P.S.  I had to change a few things on my .xml feed file.  You may notice (if you use iTunes) than older podcasts (below #100) will have a duplicate entry in your list now.  Feel free to manually delete those second entries.  Sometimes this happens when a feed gets changed.  It shouldn't happen anymore in the future - hopefully.

Had to do some overtime today and the podcast is getting me through it nicely! I agree about the whole audiobook discussion. The only time I can really appreciate an audiobook is if it's a book I've already read and want to go through again.

Also Kenny's comments about the writer's strike were very insightful. It helped me understand the situation a little bit more.

Great podcast.. too bad I wasn't around for the audio book discussion.. I love audio books.. that is how I 'read' books. I do listen while driving and can take in every word.I try to listen to only Unabridged versions of books. Most Star Wars and Star Trek audio book are abridged, which is a real bummer.

I have enjoyed all the Harry Potter books over and over.. I normally listen to book 1 thru 7 then start all over again. Occasionally I'll do a run of The Hobbit then Lord the the Rings, or I'll do the Star Wars NPR drama. I'm currently listening to The Golden Compass, book one of the Trilogy.  I'm never far from my Ipod, which has all my Books on CD.

Anyways great podcast/skype call.

Can't for the next weeks.

Hmm, my voice sounded kinda odd in that podcast, maybe its the mic I use?  I've been meaning to change from the one I use, but I suppose it probably wouldn't help.

Great show, good topics.
Of particular interest was the audio book segment.
I'd like to add that along with the available fiction and actor autobiography's (I have nearly every one), there is the Simon & Schuster audio book of the very beginnings. "Inside Star Trek The  Real Story" written and narrated by Herb Solow and Robert Justman is the first Trek audio book I had ever heard and it rekindled my interest in the original series.
I found a 3 hour four cassette version 10 years ago, I'm not sure if it's still in circulation - it's not on iTunes anyway. A big soft cover pocket book was published at the same time with additional content set in bold paragraphs. Not to mention all the great production photos taken on the set!
A fascinating story as told by the guys who gave Gene Roddenberry his break after he was turned down by every other studio in Hollywood!

Another great group call. You do such a great job of moderating and keeping things going.

Am very suprised though there was no mention of Torchwood! It seems to be the BBC-america's big hit here and I would have thought you where all watching. I know the brit lingo is a little  hard to follow but the show for the most part is very interesting and different.

Be interested to know why the group passed over it.

I love Torchwood but I watched it way back when it aired on British TV. I think we didn't discuss it because not everyone has BBC America.

I watched "Torchwood" awhile ago via Torrents before I had the BBC America channel and loved it.  It has been mentioned on the podcast a few times.  I just didn't this time because it's been awhile since I watched season one.  But it's a very fun show I think.
