Ep. 70: The Most Toys

When confronted by Riker, it appears that Data lies about what took place.  To me, this indicates that on some level, he regretted almost killing Fajo.

Data didn't lie.  He prevaricated.  ROFL

Just because you don't tell the whole truth doesn't mean it's a lie.

If he had known the Enterprise was coming he would not have tried to shoot Fajo.  In fact it would not even have made sense to have tried to escape.  Varia would probably still be alive.  But he could only make decisions on the basis of the information he posessed.

If Data had tried to capture Fajo he would still have had to get away from his remaining minions on Fajo's ship while operating a shuttle most likely less capable than one from the Enterprise.  He would have had to deal with two problems at once.  I would have blown his ass away a lot faster.  For totally LOGICAL reasons of course.     :roflmao
