Opinions Wanted!!

I've watched the first season of Sequest DSV and found it to be thoroughly enjoyable.  I find that it does parallel Star Trek TNG a little much, but is unique in its own way that it wasn't distracting.  However, is Season 2 and 3 watchable?  I heard that the show pretty much died after season 1.  (Oh and guess what NBC sponsored this show...I wonder why it died.  Star Trek TOS anyone??)

Also, is it just me but does NBC have a problem actually figuring out what a good show is??  They killed ST TOS, Sequest DSV, in fact, as far as I can tell, they haven't produced a worthwhile show in...years.  Are they just that moronic??  At any given time of day, our 5 channel antennae was usually on CBS and ABC...NBC just sucks...maybe that's me?

Anyway, that's my opinion.

The second season was not bad actually, after you got past the shock of a reset on the series. Season 3 really got different, and I dont think it even lasted a season. I felt the larger crime was what happend to Earth 2 which ran at the same time, it got cancelled after just 1 season, and If it had been picked up it would have been remade for the second season even more then Seaquest.
NBC has put out some good shows since Seaquest, maybe not all sci-fi, but good shows. So far this season, they seem to have the most interesting lineup of shows for me, and I pretty well just watch NBC on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and a little bit Friday.

I loved season 1 but season 2 was not so hot. Just my opinion. I remember watching that show on Sunday nights, how fun.
Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

Yes, Season 1 was great.  Season two was ok, and had it's up and down moments.  But I got season 3 on DVD off of ebay and have to say... yikes!  It wasn't that good.

I liked Captian Bridger, Lucas, Dagwood, Tony, well, ok, I liked the whole crew.  It was a good show all around.

^^ I take it Rick that the season three you aquired was a bootleg? Season two has not even been released on DVD yet. It's scheduled for January 2008.

I also enjoyed Seaquest as well - at least the early ones.  Watched season one, most of two, but then fell off.  I'm a big sucker for Sci-Fi shows involving the oceans.  Even way back to "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea."  I'll have to check out the show again sometime soon.  Been awhile since I've watched one.

I'm with you on that. I love underwater anything for some reason.

I don't know.  It came all fancy and nice looking with a cover and professional DVD's.

We watched a lot of this show over and over on video tape.  When it originally aired I had a vcr at my grandma's house and would tape them all.  I think Viper was on around that time too.

I know the kids and I were really surprised when we found out that Darwin, the Dolphin, was mechanical. We found that out years later, we really thought they had a Dolphin on set with them.  But he was anamontronic.  http://www.edgefx.com/seaquest.htm

The same folks that did him, did the whales in Startrek 4 the Voyage Home.

Hey Rick, to check for bootleg, when you buy stuff on Ebay, look for the Region Code:  Region 1: US, CA.  Most honest buyers will say where its from.  I think you got a bootleg, though it can be difficult to tell.  As far as ik, the US version of seasos 2-3 is not avaliable yet...but I could be wrong.

Wow, count me in as surprised as well, I never knew that Darwin was not real. They did a great job, as I always thought he was a real Dolphin. With all this seaquest talk, I think I am going to go out and look for the DVD's

KingIsaacLinksr

Wow....I didn't actually find out that Star Trek 4 whales were mechs till....sometime a year ago or two ago.  As for Darwin....they did a great job on the animation of him...you can never really tell he is a mech.
