NEW Test Forum is up and Live!

Ok gang.  The forums still seem to be occasionally slow here.  I have a new test forum up at this location:   

http://www.treksinscifi.com/forums/index.php

It has a fairly recent version of the info from this forum there now from earlier today.  I want you to check it out. 

A few comments:

>You will have your old user name but need to reset your password using the forgot your password log in function.  It will email you some new password of numbers and letters.  Click on the link to activate that in your email and then once you log in with that new password you can go to your profile and change the password to your old one.

>Posts, post counts, etc. should all be in place but things like attachments, etc. mainly won't be there.  No way to really convert that stuff over.  But I can add in a mod I think to get that functionality back.

>This is a new type of forum called phpBB.  It will be different than here, but I think it works more smoothly.

The converted forum is pretty bare bones right now but I'll be adding in a few things over the next couple of days.

Post your thoughts and comments here.  Feel free to test posting there, but use this forum for your main stuff - for now.

Actually, the RPF is Powered by vBulletin.  This new test forum is using phpBB.  Don't worry too much about the look and color scheme yet.  That's all very adjustable.  Just test functionality.  Feel free to put up some tests posts there.

My two most used features on these boards are the links at the top of the page that show new posts since last visit and new replies to my posts, I hope you can work those in the new board, somehow.
