This is a great show! It's about a guy who has the power to bring dead things to life. Problem is, if he touches them again they're dead forever. It's very well written. I didn't expect it to be whimsical and funny. The style of story telling reminds me of The Hitchhikers' Guide To The Galaxyâ€"very clever. Watch it Weds on ABC.  :metallica:

Just finished watching it.. I knew it was going to be quirky but wow.. it's funny, charming and very whimsical.  I enjoyed the camera work, the colors were very vivid and almost unreal. I thought the cast had some great chemistry and I love Jim Dale being the Story teller. He does the Harry Potter Book on CD.  I hope this show does well.. it might be a bit too quirky for some.  Can't wait for next week.

I didn't catch it Kenny.  What's the basics of this show?  Is it another someone communicating with dead victims and they have to solve their murders?  That's kind of what I got from the quick trailer on TV.

Jen

It's about a pie maker who has the power to bring dead things to life. Problem is, if he touches them again they're dead forever. It starts off when the main character is a boy. He's playing with his dog in a field of daisies (I assume though it didn't look liked daisies), and a tractor trailer runs over his dog. He bends over to touch his dog and it jumps up and runs back into the field to play.

As an adult, he does talk to dead people, but NOT the way they do in other shows. He is in league with an investigator who wants to earn the reward money offered for solving murders. All the guy has to do is wake up the dead person ask them what happened and touch them again before a minute is up. If they're alive for more than a minute someone else in the immediate area dies. He gets half of the money.

That's the premise...there's much more but I can't tell you because it will spoil the fun.

I watched the first 20-30 minutes but it was getting too "Johnny Depp" for me.   Think I'll pass - already have enough shows to watch this season.

I saw it Friday night, felt very Tim Burton/Johnn Depp like markinro said. Not really sure what to think, like Kenny says, it is quirky.  I am not sure if it will be something I will watch regularily, as it seems to me like pie to me ;) . A piece (episode) or two is great, not sure if I could eat the whole pie (watch entire season).

I think it's a nice break from the other stuff that's on TV right now. It's different.

This is such a fun series.. loving the quirkiness of it. I know it's not for everyone but this is turning into one of my favorites of the new season.

I love PD. I think it is very different,  and just the way it looks is just completely different. It has tons of great colors and is very pleasing to the eye, and the story is great as well.

I finally had the opportunity to watch the second episode. Still funny. I love the scene where the owner of the Dandy Lion car company chased down his crappy economic car with a H2. Hilarious!

I also liked the scene where Olive was singing. Very well done. Man can she sing!

Pushing Daisies Picked Up for Full Season
Source: The Hollywood Reporter
October 23, 2007

ABC has picked up fantasy dramedy "Pushing Daisies" for a full season. The back-nine order brings the total order to the Warner Bros. TV-produced freshman series to 22 episodes.

In its first three airings, "Daisies" has been a solid ratings performer, winning its Wednesday 8 p.m. hour in the adults 18-49 demographic. It also earned the strongest reviews of any new series this year.

"Daisies" is the second freshman ABC series to receive a full-season pickup following the order last week for "Daisies'" lead-out on Wednesday, medical drama "Private Practice."

I saw this for the first time a week or so ago. I cam in with Olive singing and thought "WOW! THIS IS FANTASTIC!". It suddenly found itself getting season passed on my living room and bedroom Tivo.

Glad you found it.. I have watched since the beginning and it's such a charming and quirky show.. nothing else like on TV.
