Next Skype Call -> 8-25-07

I'm supposed to be going to Angela's new house Saturday so that we can work on our podcast (my friend finally has the time to edit the last episode we made). Before we work on our own show, Angela says she wants to join the Treksf Skypecast. I'll probably use her husband's computer to Skype inâ€"she'll use her's, which is right next to the machine I'll be using. I'm not sure if we'll be generating feedback because of the proximity of our computers. Do you whether or not this could happen Rico?

Shouldn't be a problem that I know of. As long as you have a good broadband connection to handle both Skype calls.

Ideally you'll both want to be on headsets as well, or at least headphones and a mic. Feedback from speakers might get in the way.

Thanks. Yep, we've got that aspect covered Billybob. We Skype each other from home all the time and I've participated in one of Rico's other skypecasts. :)

Yeah I've hard you guys on the other casts. Just mentioning it cause it'd be even more important if you're in the same room on two machines.

Don't forget about the call set for tomorrow at 2pm EDT. I will start up Skype about 1:45 or so and start getting the conference setup. I'm not sure how many I'll be able to include. My first choices will be folks that are there and ready to go and haven't had a chance to do one of these before. PLEASE make sure you have a headset or earbuds. You can't have the audio out pumping through speakers while doing this. It will create an echo effect. Also, if I haven't chatted via Skype with you before it would be helpful to list your Skype user name here and I will add you to my friends on Skype.

I don't think Skype is limited like it once was. I have done several of these but I still hope to be part of it. I would enjoy if you joined us Jen.

Anyone that is interested please feel free to join us. I will try to take as many as we can into the call. Keep in mind normally some people say that they will make it but things come up at the last minute sometimes. So it's always good to have a few extra coming.

Just want to really thank everyone that was able to make it today for the Skype call. Thanks very much to: Angela, Jen, Kenny, Warren, Jeff, John, Rick & Tim for joining me. I think this was the best call yet. Everyone did great and I think we managed well with the big turnout we had. Oh, look for some little music snippets I slipped in the show while I edited it up. Podcast will be up tomorrow morning.
