Is there any way that Rico or a website admin can make some changes to the website in order to allow this site to be viewable by computers behind the Websense security system?  I used to be able to use Treks in SF at work and really enjoyed it, but for a while now it comes up as an "MP3 download" site and is blocked.  Is this a matter of changing the meta tags on the site or is it more complicated than that?

Hmmm, not sure at all.  But I'm pretty sure it's not a metatag thing.  I'll see what I can find out.  When did it not work for you at work anymore?  Did they change something at your work?

I have the same issue, not being able to access the site at all because of my employer's web filters.  It's been that way for months now.

Rico

Question?  Does it block both the forums and main web page of www.treksf.com?  Also try www.treksinscifi.com
I'm curious if any come up and are not blocked.

I notice on the home page, there are a few cookies for Flickr and skype, so depending on browser settings, that might be an issue. Maybe try accessing the Forums instead of the home page. I notice that Rico has podcast in his keywords, so maybe that is where websense is getting the MP3 from and why it is filtering. I guess I am lucky where I work, they dont filter as tightly.

It's weird, I'm now having issues getting to my site from work.  I thought it was just the web site slowdown's etc. over the last day or so but I'm still getting timed out at work.

But if I go through a Proxy server it works.  Try this Proxy site if you have trouble getting to the web site at work or school, etc.

There are other free proxy server sites out there, but this one seems to work well.

I'll check it out Ric, it was usually the forums I was checking but the main site gets the same message.  My employer has been using Websense for more than a year, but it used to let me through and it was maybe three(?) months ago that it starting classifying your sites as an MP3 download site.  I should be working anyway ;)

I'm positive a proxy site will let you visit.  But of course only do that if you are comfortable with visiting from work.  I know some employers are getting kind of picky about that stuff.
