I found a podcast that is about a SIM (or RPG) like ours called: Starbase Phoenix,  which you can find on iTunes . I have listened to 7 of their episodes. They're not very long but they contain a lot of great character development ideas and writing styles. Check it out if you get a chanceâ€"VERY informative. I thought you guys might enjoy hearing how other SIMS work and how other people write their characters. Especially if you're like me and have never done this sort of thing before.

All are good episodes but 2407.5.6 and 2407.4.20.1 are my favorites so far.

FYI, one of the hosts sounds like Ron Moore.  ;) If you've ever listened to Ron Moore's Battlestar Galactica podcast, you will pick up on the similarities. The only thing he lacks is the pack of cigs and the glass of  alcohol.

Starbase Phoenix works a little different than our Tiberius SIM. Their's is an email story, and it is much more directed (one person directs). Where as ours is posted and semi-directed. When I say "semi-directed" I mean that Kenny and I gently prompt the story in the right direction, but it's more of a group effort. Our Think Tank thread, in the OOC area of the RPG, contains major plot ideas that our members are working on together.

Check it out for ideas...but please don't copy their characters or jump ship. I think it's OK if we're inspired by their plots but let's keep ours as "Treksf" as possible.  ;)
