Which seems more like a western in space, Star Wars or DS9?

That was a really well written post Jen. I remember when I was young watching a lot of both Gunsmoke and Bonanza. You made some great points that I never really thought of before, and how they relate to DS9.

Neither feels like a western in space.  The only show that makes me think of a western in space is Firefly.  The only movie that makes me think of a western in space is Serenity.
