I was fortunate enough to be able to attend an Advance screening of Spiderman 3 tonight. The theatre was really packed (I guess since tickets were free). I will not really say very much for now, but I felt that Venom looked Fantastic. Will be going again this weekend with my wife, so looking forward to another viewing of it. Looking forward to hearing what everyone else thought when they see it.

I saw the midnight show last night, and I have to say I liked the movie.  It will not disappoint most of the fans here, I'm sure, so don't worry about getting your ten bucks worth.  I thought some parts were pretty slow, though, and even with all the plot and characters they jammed in the movie would probably have benefitted from losing about 20 minutes or so.  I couldn't sit through it again in the theater though, sp no repeat viewings for me until DVD or cable TV.  I can't remember the last movie I paid to see more than once in the theater, I think it might have been ST Nemesis!

I just got back from seeing SP3.

I liked it better than the other two.  It had much more humor, great action, fun music and AMAZING special effects and characters.

Two thumbs up.  I laughed a lot and the time just (pardon the pun) flew by.

Sand man is incredible.  Venom is spectacular.

Great flick for a third movie.

Oh, and watch for the cameo with Stan Lee.  Awesome.

All in all the movie was paced well, and I didn't think it was too slow, just about the time I started getting ancy for action, it kicked right back up.

This is a great movie.

I felt it was pretty good as well, though it did not really leave me all pumped up like the previous two did. I felt at times it dragged a bit, and to be honest, seemed like it took a bit to get going. I would have liked if they would have focussed more Harry Osbourne and Peter Parker, I just felt there was not enough of that, and considering the previous two movies were a bit of a lead in for that. The Scenes with the New Goblin and Spiderman were probably my Favorites for Action. To be honest, I felt they could have left the Sandman out of the Movie, The Visuals on him were cool, but I felt maybe to many Villans. I really liked Venom , and wished more of him and Topher Grace.  Spiderman/Peter Parker had a lot of relationships to deal with in this movie, and probably why at times parts seemed to drag a bit. But all and All a good Movie

Just got back from the show.  The Amazing Spiderman was in full display.  Will there be a 4th movie ?  Hard to say -- I'm ok with these 3
A good start to the summer season.  They previewed Bourne, FF and Potter.   I think there are 15 movies I would like to see.  With popcorn and drink -- $180-$240.  If only there were an Auction House where I could pick up a few gold. :)

Spoilers for SURE.

In short:

A bit long and draggy for my taste.  Cut 20 min of the long shots and we're good.

The scene near the end with Aunt May and Parker where we had a long shot of Parker in focus on May out of it was HORRIBLE directing.  Aunt May had some very very important dialogue and the entire time she was a big blur.  Sorry Sam but I like to see actors when they talk; I don't care that our focus was "supposed" to be on Parker.

Too many Villains?  Yeah, maybe.  I think they needed the Sandman though to provide another layer of "Spiderman is *dark* now".  With the angle that they needed to establish that, they needed the Sandman, but once we had the "sewer scene" they could have left him out of the rest of the movie.

More Harry and Parker, would have been nice.

They also should have brought back the sketches for the recap at the start of the movie like they did in S2.  The video and the photo images didn't do it for me as much.

I saw it last night and really enjoyed it.  I like how Sam Raimi builds up the story and characters and mixes quiet moments with the action.  I thought all the actors did a good job as usual.  The action and effects were amazing.  I still think Tobey is great as Peter and Spidey.  Loved when he became "bad-boy" Peter in black.  Cool stuff.  As far as the number of villains, yeah that maybe was a bit too much.  Could of done without Sandman maybe, but he was cool to see in action.

While I liked it a lot and will see it again, here's probably my biggest trouble - Flint "Sandman" killing Uncle Ben.  This change was not needed.  Plus, it really changes Peter's guilt over letting the burglar go when he could of stopped him.  Since they are now saying he wasn't the one that really pulled the trigger it really changes things.  Although I'm sure Peter still feels responsible.  Anyway, it wasn't needed for the movie.

Overall, it's not my favorite of the Spider-Man movies, but it's still a great time at the movies and definitely worth seeing.  I think it slightly was a victim of, this is the third movie - we need to make it bigger, etc.  But, I still think they did well with it.  I'd love to see them pull back some and do number 4 with just one bad guy, and a smart type bad guy like Doc Ock was.  We'll see.

But - everyone should check it out if you liked 1 & 2.  You will enjoy this movie!  :)

I saw it this morning with my son and daughter, and I really liked it.  I agree that it was both a bit manic at times, and slow at times, but I really enjoyed it as a whole.

Sandman was always one of my favorite villians for spidey. I was really worried ahead of time, because some of my favorite panes where when Sandman would form a giant hand, or hammer or something, and I didn't know how good that was gonna look.  Well  :jawdrop :jawdrop  OMG the Sandman stuff was amazing! Hayden Church looks more like Sandman then I think any other villian has so far in any of the movies.  I really felt I got my monies worth on this movie.

I was also worried about Topher Grace as Eddie Brock/Venom, but it worked out better then I thought. The Venom special effects were also amazing!

I do agree with you on one thing though Rico. The change of who killed Uncle Ben was totally uneeded.

Too many villians??  Come on I am waiting for the Revenge of the Sinister Six!!!!! Whoot!!! :metallica: :metallica:

well i saw it, I love the bad boy Parker as well! and here comes the spoilers!

Well Sandman's story was sad. I thought Venom was just a goooo that just used the hosts body, I never knew that the host had most power! I think Mary Jane needs to loosen up, so what if Peter kissed his lab partner! Well thats all i need to say :)

Loved it!!! Loved it!!! Loved it!!!!

it wasn't perfect.. but no movie is. It was entertaining from beginning to middle to end.

I think it was just like the first and second movie.. no better, no worse.  The SFX were awesome and the story was good.

I was entertained though out and when it was over I felt it was a great movie experience.

Can't wait to see it again.
