Just got Podcast #117 up.  Covers the TNG 2-parter Unification.  :vulcan   I really like how this show went.  I spend a bit more time discussing the background on the episodes before I get into the clips, etc.  Hope you all enjoy it!    :vulcan

Nice job Rico.. another enjoyable podcast. Felt like the time just flew by. Unification wasn't my favotire two parter of TNG but it was a fun episode.

Rico

Glad you liked it.  It's really fun to revisit episodes I haven't seen in awhile.

Kenny also got a kick out of the fact that you kept talking in third person.  :biggrin

I really enjoyed the podcast Rico.  Great job, as always.

Great to hear Kenny on the intro- Nice book review, good comments all together-  I just love these episodes, it's a great two parter.  I thought it was fun to see you liked some of the same scenes Nathan and I did.  Even though, I did spit on Nathan during the Klingon Opera imitation.  :)

Bless you Rico! Keep 'em coming!

I only got an episode that lasted 29:59 (downloaded from iTunes). It didn't get into the second part of "Unification". I'm listening to it at your website.

Rico

I had no trouble with iTunes.  I always check my feed/files after I post them.  You should be able to just delete the file and download it again.  Typically, this happens due to internet glitches while downloading.

Great podcast as always Rico......1 thing struck me as just hilarious....I listen at work and many times I have my laptop up and running as well as my desktop.....I heard something and looked over at my laptop only to realize it was not even out of the case.....I think what I heard was the screensaver on YOUR second computer coming up.  Do you run the Enterprise "control panel" screensaver?  That is my screensaver on both my computers and it was just funny to hear it start up....a sound I am very familiar with.

I think it was Socrates who spoke the immortal words:  I drank WHAT?

Great Episode Rico, I really enjoyed the background on the Epsiode you gave, as it gave me plenty of more insight into the epsiode.

Enjoyed the Podcast.  I 100% agree about the tease of Spock returning, and then barely having him in part 1.  I remember well seeing the previews with Spock and waiting with breathless anticipation to see the episode, and then being disappointed that he was hardly in the show.  I also remember at the time feeling that the writers missed out on 2 big Trek moments.  One was having Spock be present at Sareks death.  I think that would've been a powerful Trek moment that if done right, we'd always remember.   I also was disappointed that Spock never set foot on the bridge of the new Enterprise.  I always thought that would've been a neat scene.  I had no idea that Mendez and Pardek (?) were played by the same guy.  Very interesting.
Doesn't this episode also show Picard able to do the Vulcan neck pinch?
In the audio commentary for Star Trek IV, Leonard Nimoy mentions that they PTB never contacted him about bringing his TNG self back.  He almost sounded disappointed.

Glad you liked the podcast.  Actually it's Data that does the nerve pinch on a Romulan during their escape.
