Another example that the movie side of DC does not have a clue about their comic heroes! Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman? Give me a break!!!! It's not that I don't think she has any acting chops but she is absolutely the wrong body type for Wonder Woman. Really disappointed here. I think the woman in the fan film trailer would have been a far far better choice.

I might pass on this film now. I cannot stand Ben Affleck and now this? My hope for something great has diminished considerably.

This should have been the new Wonder Woman - actress Bridget Regan.   :metallica:

Gal is gorgeous - but I see your point about her not being right for that role.  Bridget on the other hand..  ;)

I can see Bridget in the role! :)

I think Gal will do great in the role. She's already pulled off the ability to play a strong character. Not just a strong female, but a strong character, and I think that's pretty important.

They better make a cameo for Linda Carter.  :)

Kinda silly to be knee jerk. I don't think anybody involved is looking to make a bad movie, it's supposed to be a basis for a filmic DC universe. Until we see a script, screenshots, costumes, a trailer, there's literally nothing to complain about. My childhood dreams of seeing big time superheroes together on screen are coming true. I can't bring myself to be negative about it.

Agreed Chris.  I would have never dreamed we would ever be in the "land of geeky films" like we live in these days.  I'm just hoping they have a good story to tell.

It's not being knee-jerk at all. It's an established pattern. Warner has not made a good superhero film since The Dark Knight. Superman Returns, Man of Steel, Dark Knight returns are all duds with, in MY opinion, very bad casting choices. Marvel on the other hand has done a superb job and I say this having been a DC fan most of my life. Their animated films show far more creativity and better stories than their live action films. And I still think Affleck as Batman was and is a deal killer for me anyway. When I said I can't stand the guy I meant to say I loath him. His acting is so very poor. I have seen better high school actors. And as for Gadot well, I would not say she has demonstarted she can play a "strong" character as was suggested earlier and she too is not a very good actress. Second tier at best but closer to a third tier actress. I have been a Wonder Woman fan for almost 50 years now and I still believe she is the wrong actress to pull it off convincingly.

Not a WW movie yet.  She will have a small part in the upcoming Superman/Batman film.
