thought of SUPERMAN RETURNS

all day i have been trying to get a feel for the new superman movie, MAN OF STEEL.
one thing keeps standing out in my mind. some people are comparing this movie( MAN OF STEEL ) to SUPERMAN RETURNS.
i was wondering what are y'all feelings about SUPERMAN RETURNS, was it good, was it bad, just what?
for me, i loved it, i think brandon roush did i great job.i think kevin spacey was a great lex luthor.
the only thing that i was a lil wishy washy on was lois' kid. i know she moved on after superman disappeared, but the kid is superman's? but maybe the only thing i was iffy about.
so what say you guys.gals and aliens?, lol

I enjoyed the movie a lot, but at the same time, it's greatest weakness was that it was paying too much of an homage to the Reeve movies. Had they not included that weird mishmash of 80's and 2000's technology, it might have felt better.
