Some news about iOS 7 and the next gen iPhone. Rumors right now say that the next iOS version is behind schedule and that Apple had to pull devs from the Mac OSX team. Sounds like they're doing some new UI changes to iOS which is a good thing. It could use some consistency and from what we've seen of the Apple Podcast app update, (which removed the animated tape reel and solidified the app) they're going to be moving away from the skewmorphism that's been showing up in a lot of apps of Apple's. Be interesting to see what they come out with.

From what I've read iOS 7 is delayed but the phone is not. This should be interesting as Apple usually like new hardware to come with a new iteration of iOS.

Apple iPhone event confirmed for September 10, one week away.  Anyone care to post their predictions?  New premium iPhone?  Cheaper, smaller iPhone mini?  New iPad revision?  I'd be most interested in some news on the Apple television set rumored last year and has been hush-hush ever since.  All questions answered in one short week.

iPhone 5S - new premium phone.

iPhone 5C - budget phone with a plastic case.

LOTS of colour choices.

It seems Hell has frozen over and Apple are having to change tactics in an attempt top retain a little market share.

I've heard that iOS 7 has matured nicely and is working very well, especially in UI performance though.

I'm hearing there will be a thumbprint reader built-in to the home button.

Really? Wouldn't have thought the home button would be big enough.

The word I heard is they are putting a metal ring around it to help on that.

Too bad about the OS, I'm more excited about iOS7 then new hardware despite the fact this is likely the generation I'll be upgrading my old reliable iPhone 4.

I think it would make more sense to make the screen the thumb reader personally...

Facebook is annoyingly way more populated than these forums.

I've noticed that on quite a few forums I frequent.
