The first new podcast of the year is now up.  A classic style show with news, Trek talk, an Enterprise episode commentary and a collectible review.  Enjoy the show everyone!

This is a cool episode, kinda has links to the second Romulan War book I've finally gotten around to reading. The 4th season of Enterprise was the best.

Good episode and I was glad they got the same actress back to play Shran's aid.
She was unmistakable in her episodes.

There couldn't have been two worse alien races to have cooped up in that little ship, and their circumstances dumped more gas on the fire :)

When I first saw the end of this episode all I could say was, Whoa!

GReat podcast, Rico!  I can't wait to re-watch the trilogy.

Rico

Yep - good set of episodes.  I'm a sucker for any episode with Shran and the Andorians.

More is not more when it comes to The Hobbit. When it's PJ's realized vision of Middle Earth, more is AWESOME. They way you made that comment was a little trite.

Bryan - I have no idea what you are talking about in this thread?  If you are referring to something I said on the podcast about my reaction to "The Hobbit" I will have to refer you to the other topic about everyone being entitled to their informed opinion.  So, let's leave it at that in this thread please.

Enjoyed the cast. I would have loved Enterprise to continue with more of the Andorians. There was a recent interview with Jeffrey Combs in Star Trek magazine. He's such a great actor-Weyoun, Shran, Liquidator Brunt.

That sounds like a good article, his IMDB bio states that he Auditioned for the role of Commander Riker.

Jonathan Frakes remembered Combs when directing an episode of DS9 and gave him another chance in a guest role.
He hit it off so well that he landed two different recurring roles.

Combs is best known as a horror film leading actor.

He's been so versatile on Trek, I imagine he could play a much darker role too

A good three part interview on youtube, part one...

Hi Rico.  I just listen to podcast 418 last night.  great podcast.  the last season of enterprise was great, I do wished it could have contuned for a couple of more seasons myself.  I always like the relationship between Artcher and Saran.  part one was great but part two of this story was even better I think, I can't  wait until I hear your podcast on pt2.
I am going with the best information that I have.

I hope you cover the second part sooner rather than later :)

Feathers

Yup, that was a good one.

The reveal at the end worked pretty well with me from what I remember since I don't think I had any idea what was really going on until we saw it on the screen. I'd also vote for a 'sooner rather than later' coverage on the next part please :)

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.
