Hmmm, going to have to let that title sink in a bit. Seems somewhat odd to me.

P.S. Going to merge this with the Ep. 7 thread.

Star Wars: TFA.

I have to admit I'm a bit confused by the title. The force is a non-corporeal energy that people tap into. It doesn't sleep therefore how can it awake? It's the moral character of the user of the force that determines which path of the force one will go down. Now I can possibly see a reference to the force awakening in me, kind of like the new age thought of awakening to a higher consciousness but still it would be my awakening to what already exists not the other way around. Anyway, I'm looking forward to this film. I just hope that Abrams learned something from his Star Trek experience and left his stupid lens flares out of this film entirely. The lens flares in the two Trek films are already making them seem dated as it's a trend that is past and now seems rather hokey.

Force Awakening - might have been a great title for New Hope - with New Hope being good for this latest movie.

After sleeping on this, it seems the easiest idea would be the force awakens in a person. But, it could also be a misdirect and the Force refers to a new force or threat in the galaxy. We will know in a bit more than a year.
