Very cool, Rico. I really enjoyed your journey through the things that influenced you. I think it mirrors the way many of us came into fandom...for me it was Star Wars first, then Star Trek, but it's all the same. I think one of the reasons you are so well liked is that you don't get pigeon holed. I will never for the life of me understand why anyone would limit their interests, or the people who are a "fan" of something but seem to hate it no end.

And the talk of tabletop gaming brought me way back! A few years ago, a group of my friends started doing Shadowrun again, and it was blast to play being somewhat older. So much fun and imagination involved.

I also enjoy hearing your walk down memory..or sometimes forced amnesia ;), lane. TOS reruns with my Dad are my earliest sic-fi memories along with the animated series. Trek informed my very earliest sci-fi memories. STAR WARS turned that into a true fandom passion which then circled back to Trek once the films started coming out.

Hi Rico, I just listen to the podcast last night.  I'm glad your still around after 7 years.  I first discovered you in itunes in Oct of 07.  I have subscribed to you ever since. but I can remember the first ep i listen too. but that was a long time ago lol. I hope you have 7 more years of podcasting.
