Looks interesting:

Olympus is a mythological drama series which will take viewers into the action-packed world of humans, Gods and monsters over the course of 13 episodes.

Olympus tells the story of how a few brave men and women banished the Gods to the realm of the unconscious - a place they called the Underworld or the Kingdom of Hades. The series follows the protagonist as he seeks the truth about his past, which may be intertwined with the Gods themselves.

Great Point Media and Thunderbird's Reunion Pictures are the team behind Olympus including writer Nick Willing (Tinman, Neverland), Executive Producer Mathew O'Connor (Continuum, Alice) and the late and legendary executive producer Robert Halmi Sr. (Mr. and Mrs. Bridge, The Odyssey, Gulliver's Travels).

Another one on this:

A new series about the life of mortals living among the many gods and monsters of Olympus is on its way to SyFy channel. The 13-episode mythology action drama began filming in August of 2014 in Vancouver. No specific release date has been set so far, but it's slated to air in the spring of 2015.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the synopsis for the series centers on how a handful of brave men and women banished the gods to the realm of the Underworld, otherwise known as the Kingdom of Hades.

The show focuses on the protagonist, Hero, and his long, arduous journey beginning as a young man, green with inexperience. Gradually, through the bitter hardships of life, he undergoes a dramatic transformation to ultimately become a valiant leader of men and a match for the almighty gods.

"Olympus is a fantastic blend of action, intense thrills, creatures and great storytelling. It will feature characters from mythology in a way never before imagined. It's an excellent complement to our roster of programming, and we can't wait to share the adventures of Hero with the Syfy audience," Syfy senior programming VP Chris Regina said of the upcoming show.

"Olympus" will be the first series to cash in on the Greek mythology theme. The Roman, medieval, gladiator, royalty and even Viking series have all been done. There's no word yet on the budget for the series, so it will be interesting to see the sets and special effects. If they're on par with some of the other successful period dramas like "Game of Thrones," the show might do well.

A lot, of course, relies on casting. As it stands, Sonita Henry will be playing Medea, Cas Anvar will be Xerxes and Matt Frewer is in the role of Daedalus, father of the winged Icarus who flew too close to the sun. For a full cast listing, click here.

Not to mention the old animated Hercules cartoon of my youth.  I'll check this out never the less.
