Iron-man III filming where i live..

They started filming action scenes here on Oak Island, NC where i live... pretty cool they were making it rain this Morning around the pier on a nice sunny 92 degree day.I'll try and get some pics if i can tomorrow. They are also filming the Movie safe haven here for the last few months so its been crazy busy. The screen Gems studio is located not too far away so they film a ton of movies and TV shows here and in Southport there is always the opportunity to be an extra but you have to sit around for 13-16 hours for just a few bucks. Some of my friends wife's are doing that for the Safe Haven movie.

Wow, that'd be hard to resist going down there just to catch a glimpse at to what's going on! Pretty cool.

I don't know if I could sit there and wait 13 hours just to be in a movie. Especially if its hot. Maybe if it was like in the low 60's. It would be cool to be able to watch what they were doing though.

Years ago the John Travolta movie 'Phenomenon' was made in my home town, Auburn, Ca.
The whole historic downtown area was turned into a big movie set.
The company rented my friends old pickup truck for Kyra Sedgwick to drive in the film. http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3417217280/tt0117333
It wasn't a bad movie either.


There's a 700 ft tall bridge here that is used in movies and commercials once in a while too.

Watched them film last night but the police had it blocked off because they were doing some stunts that involved a fake tanker truck. They had huge flood lights set up.... today they are shooting aerial scenes and using sky divers.
