Rick Berman interview on youtube

In my mind upn was the demise of Enterprise. In my area it was always bumped off the schedule because of sports, not to mention it just didnt fit in with the rest of the programming. Season 4 was great. It went before its time. Would have been great to see the romulan war and the founding of the federation. How is it that there are so many "fans" of trek that freely admit that they haven't actually watched enterprise?  I was there to the end and still think it had a lot of life let to it.

mac1701:
I'm with you. There is threshold from voyager however. But I can forgive it. We need another "spock's brain" here and there.  Especially considering all the good stuff braga wrote. I can watch cause and effect over and over. No joke intended.

saunders:
This is a good interview.  I don't have a problem with Berman either.  People forget all the great things he did for Trek.  TOS is my first love and I'll be the first to admit that TNG became better when the TOS folks headed out and Berman's team took over.  I think the problem with him is that he was around too long.   If he would've left after DS9 people would have a much different opinion of him.  I think we just had the same people's vision carry over into different series for too long and it became a little stale (in my opinion).

Ktrek:
I think Rick Berman did an excellent job turning TNG into a successful series and I think without him it may not have lasted the seven seasons it did. And even though I like Enterprise I still think the weakest episodes of it's run were the episodes where Braga and Berman were too involved. Especially the episodes they wrote. The show got better the more the reigns were turned over to others. Too bad they had already lost too large of the Trek audience when the series got really good.
