Yikes! I'm not a big fan of spiders. One of the few things that I'll admit I'm a bit squeamish about. Where do you live again Kevin? Do you see these often around you?

I live North of Dallas, TX Rico. I've lived here for almost twenty years and this is the first one I've seen ever but I know people who have seen herds of them crossing roads in the country before. My neighbor across the street said he has seen several recently around here. I don't know what that means but I hope I don't see more of them. Apparently I took a chance using that stick to get him to move because he tells me they are good jumpers. I don't know what I would have done had it jumped onto me. Yikes!

Sorry about the ending of the first video. I should have zoomed out before turning the camera around. I tried to edit it but none of the software I had would work. I'll find something. I took the video with my new HTC One X phone. Really amazing phone too! Endgadget rates it as the best phone in America. It's taken me years to make the leap to a smart phone because I could never make up my mind as to what to buy. Glad I waited because I love the HTC One X and my wife loves hers as well.

I can't even watch the video without getting goose bumps. I can only imagine what my kids would make of it - nighmares for weeks I suspect.
