Chris, I din't realize that was your first podcast. You guys both did a great job and you had lots of great info about the movies. I haven't seen all the original 5 movies yet but I did see on Amazon that you can get the blu-ray set for $25!!!
Punch it!

It's well worth the money! Lots of cool extras as well as the movies themselves.

Great podcast!

I learned a lot more than I knew before. I've only seen bits and pieces of these movies. I do have the Tim Burton version and I thought that one was pretty good.

Very enjoyable podcast Chris and Rick.  Regarding Nova - it wasn't what she said, it was how she said it.

Great show guys. Wow...I totally remember watching these with my dad (John Wayne's twin brother who also happens to be a sci-fi fan). The nuclear bomb one freaked me out too. And the last of the 70's movie was sooooo horrible/tragic. I remember the two apes getting killed. Terrible ending. Thank God Star Wars came along and lifted our spirits. Seems like Sci-fi back then was so depressing. :) Enjoyed your review though!

Yes, the down endings did get to be a bit much. The last original movie tried to fix that...

Glad you enjoyed the podcast. Your last one was really awesome, I just revisited Measure of a Man last nite. Still holds up. You were right about that 80's tv tag with Riker and Data at the end...they may as well have freeze framed it with the credits!

An excellent podcast gents.  Really enjoyed it, a trip down memory lane.  I loved them I read the books for the TV series and the last three films, I found them when cleaning out my loft.  I recently purchased the following and will start on it soon:
