I think it's just going to be a car commercial during the Super Bowl with Broderick playing Ferris grown up.

That would make for a great movie though just to see what his own kids would be like. It would be cool to see all the previous actors as well. A Ferris Bueller reunion on Entertainment Magazine would be great too! They do a great job getting all the actors together for their photo shoots. I liked when they brought the cast from The Princess Bride together albeit Andre the Giant and Peter Falk are both deceased and apparently Fred Savage was too busy to make the shoot but it was still great to see the other actors and read about their previous experiences. It's funny to see them years later.

If memory serves, the guy who played the principle teacher - can't recall his name - fell into some kind of legal troubles and has dropped from the radar.

Ben Stein was the teach and  Jeffrey Jones was the principal

Yeah...the guy from Howard the Duck who played Principal Ed Rooney was charged and sentanced in 2001 for selling cigarettes and Marajuana to minors. And then in 2003 for soliciting a 14 year old boy to pose for inappropriate pictures and possesion of child pornography

I hate it when an icon from childhood is exposed under these circumstances...

....oh, and Ferris Buellor 2.....I would love it to happen. Apart from Ferris Buellor and WarGames, Matthew Brodericks movies have always failed to impress...

'Glory' is my favorite Matthew Broderick movie
A departure from his earlier work and maybe a real "coming of age" role for his career.

Shaw (Broderick) was an officer in the Federal Army during the American Civil War who volunteered to lead the first company of black soldiers. Shaw was forced to deal with the prejudices of both the enemy (who had orders to kill commanding officers of blacks), and of his own fellow officers.

I liked LadyHawke - not my most favorite, but I enjoyed it.  He was fabulous in 'The Producers' the broadway play.  One of my favorites.  Liked him in Torch Song Trilogy as well.

I enjoyed the chimpanzee one also....Project X? But for me, Wargames is not just one of his greatest movies, it is one of the greatest movies ever.

This is a classic, I watch it at least once a year. Always gets an emotional response from me.

Yeah the video is a tease for the full Honda commercial to be played during the super bowl.

I suspect that Matthew Broderick may wish to leave the character be as far a a sequel goes, especially with John Hughes so recently deceased.  I heard that there's a possible reboot with younger actors in the works though.  I think a sequel would be way more interesting,

How about a Ferris Borger for a reboot.  A young Borg takes advantage of the system, to the annoyance of the Borg Queen, and the other members of the collective as he takes a runabout without permission and gets into all kinds of hi-jinx...
