GREAT show! Loved the opening crawl. Special mention to Sheppard for his video, it was great to see him using the mini bat'leth! What an appropriate gift for someone who does Combat Fitness training! Al made me laugh and Joby get's a nod for doing his video in front of what appears to be an unmade bed! LOL!!! So great to see everyone!

Thanks. I was having lots of fun. I love it a lot. It is a great gift. When I teach the new Combat 50 track with the sword form in it I'm tempted to actually use it as a prop.

Yeah I used VLC media player. Guess it's not as good.

I tried VLC at first too, but noticed it distorted the videos so I switched to Handbrake.

Awesome secret Santa exchange this year :).  As far as figuring out Rico's gift, I spent days looking up Trek stuff before kicking myself and remembering that Rico plays WoW.  ;).  Then it got easier for me.  Hope that mouse pad works for you Rico!  :)

Dan - awesome Batleth!

The mouse pad is very cool Tim - and it's big too!  Been using it since I opened it.  Thanks much!

Aye when my wife saw the video she freaked that the room was such a mess.  I tend to not notice stuff like that.

Fun to watch althouh (dare I say it???) I thought Bromptonboy reminded me too much of Ethan Phillips.

Are you sure that was you Pete?? ;)

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Bromptonboy

Hmmm...I am usually compared to either Drew Carey, or Dave Letterman.  :)  I do share Neelix's love of cooking...

HI Rico, just watched the vidcast yesterday.  it was great the see another vidcast again.  vid a bit choppy most of the time.  I seem to have a problem with quicktime player running on windows. but it was fun to see the forum members get some of the things they wished for.  hey nice living room too!
I am going with the best information that I have.

Glad you liked the show.  Were you streaming and trying to play it or did you download it all and then play it?  The vidcast should not look choppy.  You are the first to say this.  You might want to try playing it using something else, like VLC media player.

I have a Picard stand up in my office and my boss was at my desk and I happened to be standing by it and he was staring at me and took a picture. He did the Number One thing too. Oh well. I am technicaly second in command at work, so it kinda fits.

I download all my podcast from iTunes and most vidcast fine,  but this one was differnt.  I do have the latest versons and updates for iTunes .   ussulay  WMV  works best for me.   but I may try VLC  player also.  I belive I had it at one time but got rid of it.

You might want to look into seeing if you have the latest codecs, etc.  Something on your system is probably not quite right.  Maybe try updating Quicktime too.  I've never released a vidcast in a .wmv format.  Also, if you have something like a video capable iPod, try it there too.

Hi Rico, thanks for the advice, Yes the Codecs were suggusted to me as my problem.  I do try to keep up with the latest software  howerver I am useing a laptop that is 6 years old and is using window PX and a slower processer.  I wonder if I still have the right system requirements.  I do not have an ipod.   but I will try the next time and see  how it goes.  it was not comply choppy some of the segments were just fine.
