Did you spend an outrageous amount of money on a large screen LCD TV sometime between 1999 and 2006?  I know I did.  Well, turns out a large partt of the reason is because of an illegal price fixing scheme concocted by Samsung, Sharp, LG, and other large manufacturers of LCD technology.  They just agreed to settle the lawsuit, of course without admitting any wrong doing, for 388 million dollars, none of which goes back to the consumers that were bilked into paying more than the technology was worth.

It makes alot more sense to me now, why we're seeng the same TVs and monitors that were on sale five years ago for $1500-2000 at 1/4 of the price or less now.

I shouldn't joke...I actually have a set of rabbit ears from our first ghetto apartment for when our "free" cable went out.
