Go get 'em while they are hot! Sounds like RIM is getting out of the tablet market as they can't compete with Amazon on price. Watch the Samsung Galaxy to come next. A research analysts just put out a report claiming RIM is cutting production of Playbook and then at the same time, best Buy does this price drop, very interesting to see how this plays out.

HP is in the middle of a fire sale as well on it's 10" Touchpad...they were $99 bucks for the 16G version.  Best Buy sold out almost immediately when they dropped the price that much, but there's supposed to be another limited run before 10/31, so keep an eye on it.  The reviews were mixed but it appears to be a great bargain.

Another analysts on CNBC just now while discussing the chip makers and those that provide chips for tablets made the obvious comment that if a tablet doesn't have the Apple logo on it it can't compete at the same price point as Apple. This will be a short term negative for Apple if all the other tablet makers dump their inventory, it will be dilutive to iPad business on the short term.
