Since Steven Spielberg never returned to E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial to let us know what happened when Elliott and Gertie grew up, someone else had to pick up the slack—by creating ET-X: Extinction, an awesome sequel made with footage of the grown-up Drew Barrymore and Henry Thomas mashed together with other alien invasion movies.

The trailer, from Robert Blankenheim and Derek Johnson Productions, not only stars the adult Barrymore and Thomas, but also Bruce Willis, David Morse and Morgan Freeman, with the president being played by ... President Obama.

I just saw this via Facebook....and it is awesome. Amanda came through to watch it thinking it was a genuine trailer. At about 1 minute in she said "We are DEFINITELY going to see that! Whens it out?"

The trailer then got silly and I had to show her that it said "fan made"......I think she was totally gutted! She left the room.....but came in to see the final few seconds! Worth hanging on for!
