Watched ALIEN last night and it looks spectacular! Looking forward to the special features tonight!

I just watched the first two movies again recently on my iPad, inspired by the conversation somewhere on these boards about Ian Holm.  What a great movie.  I imagine the blurays must look amazing

I wanted to buy this on Blu-Ray but my wife said she doesn't want to see them again. Once was enough for her! I'd love to have a copy though. Glad to hear the quality is good.

I had no idea Joss wrote ALIEN Resurrection. His stock dropped a bit for me for that mess.  :thumbsdown

Yeah I really was upset with that movie. I like Alien 3 alot more if you can believe that!
Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

I like Alien 3 as well, although the pseudo directors cut didn't really add anything to the story. And why the bull instead of the dog?

If I recall that's not Fincher's cut. He will not even talk about that movie anymore cause he hates it. Right?

Correct, he didn't participate. But the scene was filmed and it was part of Fincher's original shooting script it seems. What I find odd is the alien design resembles a dog more than a bull. I wonder at what point they made him change it to a dog as the host and shoot that sequence and why.
