We had a big snowstorm today - like many places.  Really came down fast.  Closed most schools and some businesses too (even my work was closed).  Here are some pictures.  Quite a lot to shovel out today!

Wow, you guys got nailed! You live in such a quaint, nice neighborhood, Rico. Sweet, love the dog pictures!

Rico

Yeah - I love where we live (maybe not the weather always).  We are far out from the city and it's very beautiful.  The dogs of course love the snow.  Kaylee was romping and running all over in it today.  I'll try and get some video of it maybe tomorrow.

We usually get one or two really big storms that drop a lot of snow about an hour north of us at elevation of 5000 feet+. Jamie and I take a "snow day" and take Chip and Dex to romp in the snow. It's awesome and they go nuts!

Yeah I don't know what it is about Dogs and snow but we thought Daisy was going to hate it when we took her but she just loved it.

Now that is REAL snow.  Not whimpy like here.

:)

THanks for the cool pics.

I have been and always will be, your friend.

And I thought it was cold here at night in Southern California (in the 40s and upper 30s).

I miss playing in the snow but not shoveling it.

It was 80 degrees here in Orlando,FL today.

Sorry.

Cool pics!  Reminds me of Montana.

Love those pictures.

Love that snow!

It looks lovely but it sounds fairly chaotic if it's enough to shut offices and schools. I've seen pictures of the fifties and early sixties over here (a little further up the country than London) and they looked something like that. I don't think we've seen too much like it in my lifetime, though.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I remember a time back in around 1993 and i went to a snooker hall with my buddy Kell and we was in there for a couple of hours we came out and there was at least three feet of snow, it had just poured down. Birmingham was a standstill and it took me hours to walk home but we loved it. That was the last time we had a decent snow storm.

Great photos Rico, you do live in a awesome neighborhood. I love your houses.

Rico

Shutting schools happens a few days every winter.  Side roads are very hard for buses to get down when the snow hasn't been plowed.  Businesses closing it's much more rare.  But over a foot of snow is quite a bit at once.  Even for us.
